Covid-19 Reopening Measures and New Protocols
We are reopening with the following changes and protocols:
We have always taken cleaning and disinfecting very seriously. We care about our clients, their health and safety, as well as ours, but now we've stepped that up. Along with cleaning and disinfecting the equipment and treatment rooms, we will also be disinfecting all touch surfaces from the front door to the treatment rooms. This includes door handles, light switches, railings, sinks, taps, Interac, everything that might be touched by anyone. This will be done after each and every appointment. Along with the heightened cleaning and disinfecting protocols, we are also going to wear disposable masks and gloves during treatments, as well as aprons that are easily cleaned and disinfected. These aprons will be disinfected between each appointment, and everything will be cleaned and disinfected one final time at the end of each day. There will also be a woven, disposable paper on the treatment tables that will be discarded after each appointment. It's soft and pliable, not at all like the paper on the exam table at the doctor's office. We have also installed a paper towel dispenser in the washroom to not just give you a choice of how you'd like to dry your hands, but rather using a paper towel to dry your hands and then turn the tap off reduces the chance of recontaminating your hands after washing them. We even suggest you use the paper towel to open the washroom door when you are finished.
Here are the steps and precautions for appointments:
There will only be one appointment per time slot. Even though we have two treatment rooms, we will only allow one appointment per time slot to eliminate the chance of cross-contamination between rooms.
If you arrive before your appointment time, please give us a call, or send a text, email or PM to let us know that you've arrived early, and if it's safe to come in. We don't want our clients spending any time in the waiting room. If you are early and the treatment room isn't ready, we ask that you wait in your car, and we'll call you when the coast is clear.
When you come in for your appointment, we ask that you wash and sanitize your hands before coming into the treatment room.
If you don't have a reusable mask, we will be providing disposable masks for all of our clients. You must wear this mask during the duration of you treatment, and can wear it out of the building when your appointment is done, but you must dispose of this mask. There is a garbage can outside that you can dispose of your mask in.
Before we begin your treatment, we will take your temperature. We have a laser thermometer so contact with skin won't be necessary. If you have a fever we will reschedule your appointment, and would recommend that you talk to your health care provider to find out why you have a fever. We will also be taking our own temperatures at the beginning of a shift, and if we have a temperature, we'll go home and seek medical advice.
You will stay in the treatment room for the duration of your appointment. If you need to use the washroom, then simply wash and sanitize your hands before coming back in the treatment room. This will apply to us as well.
When your appointment is done, we ask that you wash and sanitize your hands one last time before leaving the building.
After you leave, we will follow our cleaning and disinfecting protocol. Because of the extra steps we are taking to ensure that our space is safe and healthy, appointments will be spaced out to give us the extra time we need to clean and disinfect everything. We will also have limited hours to keep the number of people coming and going into our building down, to help stop the spread of germs and viruses. We realize that this is an inconvenience and will do our very best to make sure that everyone gets an appointment. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support throughout the lockdown, and for their continuing patience as we all move forward.
If you have any questions about our protocols, please just reach out.
We are excited to be reopening and are looking forward to seeing all of you again!
